TRF GTG @ TPA Feb 18th

The food will probably not be that great.

There's no wine list either.

Heck, you might not want to wear your timepiece to this event(!).

Or maybe you do want to wear that super amazing artistic expression in horology, and YES you can wear it of course.

-----------------

TWO PARTY SYSTEM

For this event there are, in fact, 'two' parties going on at the same time.

Party #1: A glorious GTG with wrist shots and the 'pile of timepieces' pics. Meet and chat with the great folks here on TRF, it'll be awesome! Drink and smoke up too. Enjoy!

Party #2: This is for 'more active' party participants. i suggest you DO NOT wear a fragile timepiece (G-Shock and the like are fine). Your skills will be tested as you have a great time! Who knows, you may feel like a kid again, as the 'toys' are more funner to play with. Skills, thrills, and excitement are guaranteed!!!

-----------

Yes my friends, and hater too, it's time we have a TRF GTG in Tampa. Come meet those you know and love here or TRF. This is a 'two-party' system. You can choose to hang out, wear that fancy timepiece and drink all my Macallan 21, JW Blue, Spiced Rum, Vodka... smoke cigars, and have a fun time meeting members from TRF.

AND / OR

Come to the event, but perhaps do not wear a super-duper fragile timepiece. It'll cost around $70 for the event (you pay them, not me) and space is strictly limited to about 20 ACTIVE players (play on playa). YES, you can still drink all my 21-year Macallan, JW Blue, Vodka, Spiced Rum... smoke cigars, and have a fun time meeting members from TRF.

------------

When: Friday, February 18th at 7pm

Where: In Tampa (FL)

Who: This event is open to those who currently have 50 posts or more here on TRF (or who have been members for a while / silent lurkers).

How To Attend: PM me here on TRF for details.

My Muse/wife and i look forward to everyone having a great TIME together in Tampa during February. As always, enjoy your time.

LOL thx. The reason for 50 posts min / silent lurker is simply common sense 'security' (imho).

If it was SRQ or Bradenton I probably could swing it. Tampa is too far to make it on time. Top golf is far as hell from my house. Lol

I can see why security would be an issue with Macallan 21!

Shockingly enough, I'll actually be CONUS in Feb. I'm up in Ocala, so not a horrible drive, aside from timing the horrible I-4 traffic on a Friday.

LOL, oh gosh no tho very good guess! Originally a party was panned at our place, yet after some talks it became clear that's not an option.

While i won't post here in public what / where the party is for security reasons, think of other 'hobbies' of mine (please don't guess). Imho it's going to be a great time, like being a kid again... only better because now you're now an adult

Less than a week away, and we're in luck as Nick from Mayors is joining us too. No watch sales (tho he might be wearing a special timepiece), just pure fun for all :)

Thanks to the three or four TRF guys who dared to show up! It was my pleasure meeting each of you, feeding you, giving you tasty drinks, and since we were there a bit of GO-KARTing fun. Next TRF GTG in Tampa will be far more formal and 'normal'.

It was my pleasure taking everyone go-karting for the party (my treat). Food, Macallens, JW Blue, Siesta Key small-batch rum.... and MrGOAT is a heck of a great go-karter. That man can d.r.i.v.e :)

Thank you TRF member Andy0331 as my Muse and i were kindly gifted some nice Hooten Young smokes and Hooten Young 12 yr aged whisky! WOW WOW WOW!!!

Alas, no pics to post as we were so busy having fun and living in the moment.... Plus did let everyone know the activity and so go-karting meant some did not wear their finest wrist instrument.

No worries, a more 'classic' GTG is in discussions with... as once everyone chills out about CV we'll be good-to-go for a 'normal' party. Again, this will be my treat for you all to enjoy

Larry is a great guy, yet.... Yes Abbe was there, as she's been the manager of Mayors Tampa for a bit now. Wonderful lady, you should go for a visit and introduce yourself to her (and hassle Nick for me will ya LOL!).

Would love to do this again, yet at Mayors frankly. Go-karting was a blast, yet understand why some left their timepieces at home.

Pretty please give things time and lemme see what i can do on my end schedule-wise.

I know Abbe well! She is great! I met her when she came down to Tampa store back in 2020. She does a great job of looking out for watch collectors!

I never met the manager at Tampa Mayors but she did me a big favour about a year ago and shipped a somewhat difficult to find watch over to the Mayors in Orlando for me.
