I’ve always thought it’s a cool watch, but the only thing holding me back is that the dial/time is so small compared to the case size - kind of missing the point for a watch.

True - the telling of time almost becomes secondary. It’s visible but requires an effort to focus in and see what time it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thread revival. Anyone have any additional thoughts/experience with the 7027 or 7037?
Still thinking of picking one up.

Love the brequet watch and it blows me away that this pastiche watch can be had for a fraction, I might get this for my son to hopefully get him interested in mechanical movements.

I had the 7057 WG
Beautiful watches. I was not wearing it enough. I think it needs to be yg or rg.

Agree. I think the tradition comes to life in YG. I've yet to actually see a RG version in the metal.

I think that the yellow gold is the more of the historically accurate model, however I prefer the white gold one because you have the contrast of the gears and the blued screws. I also like the fact that it flies under the radar more because you do not have a very yellow watch sticking out.

I was also looking at these recently in particular the 7027/7037. The yellow gold version makes the watch too yellow and I think the one to go for is the white gold version as the colours of the various components pop. I have attached some pictures and agree that the 37-38mm is the best size for small wrists. I actually ended up buying an AP Millenary 4101 for me personally just felt like a better all around watch compared to the tradition . The dial size was in better proportion with applied gold indices, modern finishing of parts, 22ct gold rotor, steel for everyday wear and a nice deployment clasp. They are obviously not exactly comparable but they do both showcase the movement. I hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I ended up with the WG. I agree, I like the contrast a little better plus I was a little worried about the versatility of the YG model.
Honestly, I love this watch. The finishing of the coin edge case, welded lugs, frosted bridges and plates are all amazing. Being able to see the wheel train in action is constant theater. Also, maybe not the biggest deal to most, but it is incredibly satisfying to wind this watch. Short of a Zeitwerk, I've yet to feel a winding mechanism as crisp and mechanical as this.

That's awesome! Congratulations! The WG version is spectacular. I don't give mine as much wrist time as I'd like but when I do wear it - it's just wow. Such a cool piece.

I love the YG version. It was such a tough choice between the two. But whichever variant, it's still an awesome and underrated watch.

An absolutely stunning watch... love it.
I have a Breguet Marine 'big date' in gold which I should wear more often. They are lovely watches. |

It's actually supplanted my Lange 1 as my go to watch at the office.

Thanks. Pre-owned is the way to go with the entire Tradition line (pretty much true for all Breguets).

Despite the fears, nice weather is coming. This can only mean one thing...fun colored watch straps.
