My GMT2C did have a sticky date wheel when I first got and did go half way like those pics for a few hours after 00:00. But those in pics are at 22:00 or 10:00 which is strange as Rolex dates definitely don’t change that early.

No, they shouldn’t. I’ve probably handled 100+ modern and vintage Rolex in the last 10 years, not a single one changed at midnight on the dot. It just doesn’t work that way with mechanical watches.

I haven't seen any my modern Rolex (Hulk and SD43) change right at midnight. It usually happens within a 5 minute window after midnight.

My point was that date changes in these new movement isn't a gradual change but rather it happens instantly, like a click.

Not over the course of 40-70 minutes (as some movements do) where you actually see the datewheel slowly starts to turn long before midnight.

Yes, that’s absolutely correct. I may have jumbled the initial message.

Who's still sending these guys watches?

Who's still buying watches from them instead of the trustworthy TRF verified GM dealers?

I am wondering the same thing. They put out these massive sale numbers but inventory stays the same with inflated prices.

That’s exactly what it is. Plus the fact he got smoked on the sale price. I’m a director of a few high volume car dealerships. The things I could say about this transaction. Just WOW!!!!

An idiot. And to post it on IG just takes the cake.

This guy is an absolute lunatic. I cannot believe he would share that type of interest rate in public. It screams, “ i can’t afford anything i have”. If i was a customer, i wouldn’t be after that.

If you can’t get a decent interest rate on that car, and you’re wearing a $200,000 watch, you’re a broke b$&@h. Some people want to fit in so badly.

Yep. To show the original post showing the rate then thinking by covering up the rate but yet leaving the finance charges still visible is asinine, asi-ten, asi-1000. Almost 74k in interest. 4.99% wouldve been around 31k.

Doesnt take a rocket scientist to subtract the amt financed from the total of payments to recalculate interest.

However I will say that on high amount financed auto loans the interest rates will be much higher because of the amt financed. More money, more risk, more interest but thats why if you have to finance a car of this magnitude, you seek alternative financing options. Or DONT buy it. But I see it everyday at work. People buying waaaaaay to much car. I had one customer that bought a preowned Escalade yesterday and his amt financed was higher then any house he had ever owned. Yet this customer did have his s*** together much better then ol TPG.

As I said prior, being a director in the auto industry, I could blow some of your minds. I'd estimate for all his awesome watch negotiating skills the selling auto dealer probably made around 30-33k. Maybe more. I have a pretty good idea what was made on the financing alone.

Look I'm not trying to sound holier than thou and I know everything but when you post something like this online you open yourself up to some harsh critique. Good luck to him and whatever all he has going on. Hes gonna need to get outta that car loan

It's obvious his cash flow is so high, that he has a short runway of being able to survive without income. I seen his luxury high-rise, cars, watches, bags, shoes, and other luxury items. Any hiccup or small mistake will derail him and the entire house of cards will fall. Not really a situation I would want to be in, but at least he appears to be enjoying the ride.

In the latest episode did Anthony really request a short term credit line secured by their watches at a 2% MONTHLY interest rate on a million bucks?

WHOSE watches would they actually offer to secure the loan? I wouldn’t want to be a guy consigning a watch with them.

Do they even own any of these watches?

Anthony cited that they were out of the "personal collection", but it's been unclear if that means "They belong to the business but they're pieces we agreed to call 'mine' for clout/marketing purposes."

They definitely are watches owned by TPG or his business outright, anyways, and not consingment watches.

So if that is the case is he going to physically give the watches to the creditor ? That would be the only way I would give him cash

Nope, just the "papers" or warranty cards. AF keeps the hardware.

Says he has a $1.6M personal collection. One is an iced out rainbow Daytona valued at $750k. Sure would love to see his tax returns since he became a watch dealer maybe 3 years ago right out of the slammer.
