PP 5711r or PP 5164r
Wanted to throw this one out... Both are on my short list...Which would you rather have?...
In my collection I do have a steel 5711 blue dial, would it be too redundant to have another? I've even considered upgrading the steel 5711 to gold while prices are crazy. Would hate to have regrets on that as the light weight of the 5711 makes it one of my most comfortable watches. Thanks, Pete |

Since you’re considering a 5711/1r, why not upgrade the steel towards that and then add the 5164a? That’s a great combo, just ask Neil!

Keep the 5711 and add the 5164r. It will be near impossible to get another 5711 at retail later if you have regrets.

My favorite Nautilus and my favorite Aquanaut . Damn, don’t know how to advise here but I’ll tell you this hint to give you some parameters to decide.
Aquanaut rubber strap has the comfort advantage, additionally it’s the perfect travel companion watch , so complication wise is no brainer. Now for the 5711 I’ll say if you want a full gold watch that’s the watch to own , no question imho, it’s beautiful looking. So I think it depends of your collection and how you intend to use it. Can’t lose Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree with the boys, this is how I liked to do it. The 5164a feels light and has a superb dial, but then when you put on the gold bracelet it feels sublime and decadent, so this would be the best way to get the most out of each piece I find.

5711 rose gold is one of the most beautiful watches currently in production. The 5164 is better in ss IMHO

My vote is the 5164r. You already have a 5711. As others have said, you’d wait a LONG time to get another one. Plus, you said you like the lightness of it as well. The 5164r checks many boxes, especially GMT, PM, comfortable rubber strap, incredible looking dial, can be dressed up or down ..........

After having both R versions, I’d go with the 5164R. Oh and I agree with Jorge!

Thank you guys for all the input. I am going through my own journey similar to what Jorge did a while back, granted not to the extreme he was at at one time. lol. I feel like I have too many and am in the process of self evaluating and consolodating down to what I really want and what I would enjoy wearing the most along with what is most useful over all to my day to day and travel. I am attempting to get down to 6 if possible. I took notice of Jorge's travel time a while back and have seen it in the metal several times and am just drawn to it. I think the steel would be mor useful overall but I really love the rg version in person. Wish me luck...lol

I think is better when you have 3-4 watches that you truly love. You enjoy them more, less is more. But even though it makes a lot of sense , I also understand that can’t be applied to everyone. On the same topic of different personalities/behaviors;I am gonna say this statement : I fall on the category of “ not allowed to buy Nautilus, Aquanauts and some RO’s” . Why ? Let me give you an analogy, I love analogies....here it goes : I am the kind of person that buy a pair shoes today and 3 months later they look like I had them for 3 years ...LoL ... there are other people that I don’t know how they do it but they have shoes for years and they look new ,damn ! Those are the kind of people that fall in the category of “ allowed to buy whatever watch they want “ lol I love these watches (scratch magnets) but I just can’t own them. I have to be so self conscious when wearing them that takes the joy of having them . I guess there is a 3rd category “ those that destroy the bezels of these watches but can’t care less that they look like S...” lol ... But yeah it’s way easier to keep a SS bezel clean than a gold one. The 5164a might not have the charm of the R version but it’s way easier to keep it free of blemishes. The bling of the 64R is nice though. Currently considering a ROO novelty 44 Ceramic bezel, not wearing my 64R to keep it clean in case I decide to depart from it. Or maybe I start caring less , and decide to move to the 3rd category ...Lol Good luck mate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I never saw a 5711R, but having the SS and having seen the 5164R, I would keep the 5711 and add the Aqua.
For me the ideal pair would be 5712 and the 5164R, have the 5167R, I think one day might upgrade the 5167R for the 5164R or a 5168G, but more probably a 5164R, as my Aqua is the only RG watch I have |

The 5711/1R is super stunning but I find the aquanaut more useful and just cooler? if that makes any sense haha.
