Regardless, they've put me on the wait list should anyone decide to cancel. I asked her how long that list is and she stated that I was #1.

We shall see. Panos, you're killing me

Not a bad idea Nick. I'll give Sandra a call.

The woman I spoke to in Florence said the 3 they have are spoken for and the only way if get one is if one of the customers bails out.

Stranger things have happened

Sorry for the slow respond. Right now, I am traveling so I don’t see TRF as much as I do when at home. I have sent him a message, since I am in the same time zone as the seller, hope he sees my message. When he reply, I will convey your intentions to him.

Meantime, you might wanna do a search for Merc Vervynck on Facebook or Paneristi.com

Absolute beauty BUT I'd put the 690 on my wrist 99 times out of a 100 to be honest (when choosing a Pam from your collection). However, If you can afford it and it forms part of your collection & hobby, then why not !

I found the crownguard on 47mm dug into the back of my hand and I actually have a visible callous from wearing Panerai with crown guards (44 & 47mm) for a number of years. Not that it bothered me though . .probably the way I wear the watch high up my wrist.

The movement is a great reliable workhorse . .wouldn't bother me to have the same movement in 2 watches.

If I was still in to 47mm Pams, I'd probably have a beaten up 372 for everyday roughing it and the 690 for 'nice' days.

Interesting comment about the crown guard Nigel. I’m headed to Toronto on Friday and I’ll be dropping by the Panerai boutique to have a look and get a better feel for how the Luminor case suits me.

The 690 is a joy to wear and even given its size, I hardly know it’s on my wrist most times.

I was just at the boutique in September while we were honeymooning. I’ve been to Florence many times, I love it there

I’m not sure when we will be back but we are talking about next Sept I’d definitely meet up
I'll be living back in the UK by then. Cru, Nick & Me were messing with the idea of a Panerai Euro GTG later this year............... Maybe I can drag me ol' China Edward along too

I have two quite uncommon PAMs and it's a great feeling knowing the unlikelihood of ever running into another in the wild. And if you do? Time to go for a coffee or a beer

You should post in here more often. Be pretty cool to have a Paneristi-ess in the house

Yes, I know. I have met up with him on 3 occasion now. You might wanna join our small Paneristi “Whatsapp Group” in your adopted home. We have occasional gatherings like this:

While there (ION) in this restaurant, the waiting stuff were bewildered and wondering where we were all doing? Why are we show handing our watches. Why are there more watches than arms or wrist.

@brandrea - did you purchase the 605 from the boutique? Does anyone have any experience purchasing from the boutique and shipping to CA? From my understanding, no euro tax but in CA you must pay the courier the California Customs Duty Payment. Is that more, less or the same as sales tax in CA?
