MontBlanc Beatles FP

Just saw this in person at my AD and it is a stunner. The bright colors had me questioning if I could use it at work but most of my clients are boomers and I think would appreciate it. The biggest drawback to me is the MB logo on the cap is HUGE!!! But I may have to cave on this one.

Working on it. May go with the rollerball as it is much more practical for daily use at the office.

Just send me the impractical fountain pen. I have no use for the superior roller ball.

Well... to rethink this, I probably owe Jim a lot!

Since Jan 1, I've bought a bp and fp Proust. A cloisonné Parker mandarin (yet to be delivered) and I'm currently high bid on Beatles fp on eBay.

Also bought an untouched parker jade matching set.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-RARE-19...53.m2749.l2649

The pen doesn't seem to be welcomed by aficionado but I think it's groovy.

I don't care for the posted cap appearance of the bp, but the fp and roller I really like.

I'll post up impressions when i get it.

I like that fountain pen... I just asked my AD to get me a couple The Beatles notebooks... I will ask him about the rollerball or ball point.

Buy it!

Its very bright and colourful, I saw it the other day at a local pen shop.
I didn't know Montblanc had a "Great Characters Edition" series, I was aware they had "Patron of the Arts" and "Writers Series" so this is new to me too...

I don't think any of your clients will think anything about you using a pen this colorful. I think you might find that, unless you let they use it, they won't even notice.

I took some really nice MB pens to work regularly, even pens like the Agatha Christie with the snake clip, and no one every took any notice except for one guy who was also a collector.

That is stunning. How was the weight and balance?

I agree with your on the rollerball. As much as I love writing with my fountain pens, my rollerballs are far more practical for daily office use.

It was great. And if I recall the cap would post.

I have the JFK rollerball and the cap doesn’t post. Irritates me a little bit but has probably kept it from being stolen.

Colours not quite as vibrant as in some pics. VERY heavy. You would not want to carry this around in a breast pocket. M nib exceptionally smooth, writes like B at least.

Doesn't post.

Nice. I like it.

Nice. The lack of post may be a dealbreaker for me. But probably not. My AD is holding a FP and rollerball so I can decide.
