I’m not a golf fan per say, but I did see he was in the lead and started watching when he was on the 16th hole. I have to say I was rooting for him. Even tho he has made plenty of mistakes and they cost him dearly, not only in his personal life but moniterily, he is still the greatest golfer of this generation and it was good to see him back and winning. It’s a nice comeback story.

In the last 20 years or so, so many golf courses have closed in Florida. Lots of them. Had it not been for tiger wood maybe the rest of them would have closed.

Tiger easily brings in more money for the sport than any other golfer ever. The crowd and the excitement was something that hasn't been seen for a long time. I am very happy he is back, he is very fun to watch and I hope he continues to do well.

Tiger played well and I hope this means he is back on track. Everyone loves a comeback and that is what this looked like.

Just saw two different segments on CNBC squawk shows.

Ratings were through the roof. Lots of excitement about the comeback and now for the Ryder’s Cup. Both shows stated unequivocally that the best possible thing for golf is Tiger.

Unlike most sports, golf often mixes the players personalities along with their physical talents. This is a unique approach that almost guarantees prejudice against or for participants. Woods is prime example; you either love him or hate him.

I think he is very likable. He embodies class and restraint applied against realistic persona.

We have this tendency to hold people to perfection when people aren't (i.e. no person is perfect), and he handles his imperfection well.

well said.

and I happen to agree.

AND, I really like him. No one is perfect. With all that temptation, I would have been way worse.

I collected a Benjamin from my best friend yesterday. He was foolish enough to bet me tiger would never win another professional tournament again.

Being 30 I grew up learning the game from my grandfather and then watching tiger on Sunday’s. I will always be a fan.

No way, he was an epic swordsman.

A great story to see him comeback, very cinematic.

Glad to see so many that feel as I do. What a great win for Tiger and literally for golf as well.

Haters indeed are gonna hate. Doesn’t diminish the achievement.

I’d rather play golf than watch - except for when Tiger is in contention.

Happy for Tiger. He has played well all year from tee to green but his famous putter was the problem. He was ranked 150+ in putting for most of the season. He finally got his putter back on track. I knew he would win again after seeing his swing early this year. He looks really good.

I have never seen anything like 18 on Sunday. The crown/atmosphere was just incredible.

Tiger seems different this time around. He is more engaged with the other golfers and the fans. I was always a fan of his golf but not a big fan of his isolated persona in his hayday. The young guys came out to congratulate him Sunday. He seems more humble and approachable then before.

There is no doubt, he is great for the PGA tour. My wife watched the final round with me. She likes to play golf but generally does not watch...she only watched because Tiger was in the lead.

Grew up watching Tiger. He is the GOAT. I was there for the victory at the Tour Championship.

I feel badly for those that cannot enjoy the brilliance that Tiger Woods possesses.

Yup! He has done things No Other Golfer Can/Will Do, Except Jack.

His Swing is getting better and better… Lets see where he can go from here. https://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/04/tig...-jack-nickalus
