What is your Tudor pick for a woman in her early 30s?

My wife saw the BB58 and fell in love with it. It’s her most picked watch in the collection for nights out and travels. I think it looks great on her. Particularly on NATO.

I would advise to get input from the person who would be wearing the watch.

But to answer your question, I would pick the Black Bay 36 non diver on jubilee bracelet if I had to make a pic based on my own taste.

If it’s a surprise first decide what case size she prefers - could be 30ish to 40ish - then choose the watch. Otherwise you risk disappointment because it’s too small or too big.

I agree with those who suggest letting her pick the watch. If you want a surprise, fly to Vegas for the shopping trip. Plenty of watches to see in a relatively small area.

On one hand - I fully agree.

On the other hand, things have changed. Once upon a time there was a "starter Rolex", namely the Oyster Perpetual. They were the most affordable in the catalog and easy to find. After the first it was always possible to gradually upgrade - next a Datejust, then a TT, then diamonds, then PM.

Now even the lowly OP is hyped to the moon and is often difficult to find. Therefore a Tudor may the best way to get someone into mechanical watches. They are available with zero fuss.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Yes it’s a gift and surprise. Mixed between making it a surprise and picking something that won’t be liked.

I think I might choose 3 and figure out what style and size better fits her.

Leaning towards BB54 or BB31/36.

Anyone have thoughts on the Tudor Royal? Reminds me of AP, and looks too blingy.

I don’t think you can go wrong with a 54 or the 36. If you think she would like a dive watch I think the 54 is a home run. I also love the 36 on jubilee, both would be very versatile and a great surprise! I’m not a huge royal fan, I think the other two options are a bit less polarizing… but you know her better than we do.

the only answer here is let them pick.

make it fun, and a surprise.

example: go out to brunch, get some drinks in her. make sure you guys are having fun/in a good mood. pick a place very near the watch store, and "pop in" to look at something in the store. once inside, take her to the tudors and tell her to pick one.

idea: show her some on the website in the weeks leading up to it; you'll get a feel for if she even wants a Tudor, or any watch.

As someone else mentioned above, i'd lean toward rolex for a woman in their 30s, but we don't know you and your wife - that's your call.
