I had one as my first Rolex, wore it daily for about 2 years. I later had a major collection cull and it went as I decided it was just too large for my personal tastes - mainly due to the lugs and SEL’s rather than the diameter. I moved to a Ceramic Sub which does wear a bit better if you have the bracelet fairly snug. I find that makes a big difference to the perceived ‘size’ of how a watch wears and the glidelock allows you to optimise.
If you are happy with the fit, it is wonderful to have something a little less common though. |

l love this watch. As others have mentioned, it wears bigger in that it's "longer", but it's also relatively thin for a robust sports watch so to me it wears lighter.
Love the stainless bezel, contrasts nicely with the white dial. There's a subtle detail around the bezel that I also appreciate - the polished edge. You see it if you really look for it, and sometimes pictures pick it up. Bracelet is fine with the 5mm easy link, I'd probably prefer the glidelock functionality but am ok with at least this minimum form of adjustment. Not that this thread is about the evolution of the model, but if I had to guess how the Ex2 might change in its next iteration, in addition to a new movement I'd guess the bracelet get widened maybe a mm or 2. |

Great watch and wears not much larger than the 114060.....Larger dial, flatter case back with the Exp2, but similar wrist space taken by both

I think the case is too big and what adds to that is the bezel to dial ratio is smaller which makes the dial look like a crocodile eye.
Add to that the hedious GMT hand and we have a got a Rolex that is very polarizing. Then again, we have those who hate the modern Sub and the GMT amongst others. To each their own. |

I'm guessing a green 24hr hand and 'Explorer II' text, as I think it's a bit too soon for them to completely overhaul the 216570. That said, who knows...?!?

Great watch, I enjoy mine and the different characteristics. Also when everybody and their mothers brother has a sub - its a welcome change. Also I understand it wears flatter than the sub and some say more comfortable.
That said I am looking to add a 114060 to my collection as well funny enough. Anyways....heres some enabling |
