I can hardly believe it, but this pen is a real pleasure to write with. Thought it would be scratchy and cheap, but turns out that the Japanese excel again at what they do!

It’s a very cool looking pen Richard with the flame oxidation! Sounds like you approve?

I got this old Snorkel working last night. Feels like some Nib work is needed. I have a new pen coming tomorrow from my Xmas bonus, so this will do for today.

What pen did you use today?

Depends what I need to sign.
Red is inked red for Christmas greetings.

Demonstrator is inked violet for Atta’ boy/gal notes

Brass is inked in Kaewco turquoise

Have the MB Legrande rollerball trio inked in boring blue and basic black for “work” stuff. Booooo

I've started doing the same as you (specific coloured ink for personal notes), in my case green/black. Seems we're in good company. The director general of MI6 still uses green ink for all correspondence. A habit started by the founder of the organisation Sir Mansfield Cumming and continued by every holder of the post since.

Playing this card again. Got the nib sorted and it writes great! More like a small medium instead of a fine now and a nice wet line. No complaints anymore!

Bad writing sample of the titanium Paragon modified fine left and a Paragon Noir in unaltered fine right.

Nice! What is that engraving on it? Not familiar with that. And love the matching leather slip.

Montblanc has come out with several newer releases that I think they are trying to niche into which hasn't been typical of them in the past. I like them rolling things out a bit.

I’m also a little jealous of the lighting in your pic! Are you guys using photo boxes or just have a a particular spot in the house that is photogenic?

Just placed it on the arm of my couch by the table lamp. The pen did the rest! :)

It has a beautiful snake engraved front the back of the pen to the tip. Very difficult to photograph...

Received my Nakaya yesterday as my new daily writer with the 1950s Sheaffer Snorkel that I repaired earlier this week. I just need to improve my penmanship.

Thanks for the information. The snake engraving is certainly suited to the pen with the snake clip. Congratulations!

Congratulations on the Nakaya! I have a couple of them and they write as good as they look.

Good job on the Snorkel!

I often use my NOMOS branded Kaweco fountain pen. It needs a new nib, the gold plating started to come off. So I'll get a silver one.

Was actually thinking of adding the aluminium Kaweco as well, I like them.
