Gift pen for college graduate

My son's GF is graduating from college this spring and his mother and I were thinking of giving her a pen (rollerball) for graduation. We wanted to give her something classic that lasts that she might consider special and treasure as she prepares for her career. She plans to work the summer and study for the LSATS before applying to law school the following year.
Was hoping for classic MB Meisterstuck but prices seem to be creeping up since we bought ours.
The kids seem to be pretty serious and we like her but we'd need to keep it around $200 to less than $300 max.
Any pen ideas or even alternative gift ideas?

Can't help when it comes to roller balls or ballpoints since I don't use them, but if a fountain pen is an option there are lots and lots of possibilities.

I purchased the MB rollerball for my wife and she loves it!

Good luck!

That's really good idea to give a gift to your son. And giving him a pen as a gift for his graduation is really charming (it will likely become a family keepsake). This gift not only encourage him but also inspires him to continue his success, a nice choice. I got my daughter one of the recommended educational gifts here https://www.geekwrapped.com/ and she truly appreciated it.

Best of luck with the present!

It's actually for my son's girlfriend but I agree it may potentially be a special gift that encourages more of the excellence she's already displayed.
Thanks for posting that link. I had not seen that site before.

Isn't the Starwalker a more affordable option than the Meisterstuck?

New yes. Preowned not necessarily.

got mine BNIP for $125 from someone who got one gifted and never used it. not a huge fan of the pen though, even at the price I paid.

Bill, that is a beautiful pen that you bought her and in the perfect colour.
I bet she could go through law school and her career and probably never see another one similar. I think that was a great choice!

She graduated yesterday. We gave her the pen this morning.
She liked it (color) but I suspect she doesn't fully grasp what a unicorn it is even though I tried to explain it without going over the top.
Hopefully someone in her family is familiar and can help her to understand.
I just hope she doesn't daily carry and lose it. I'd really rather she save it until she has her own office but its hers now to do with what she wants.
