Hoo boy. If you look at aftershok57's post history here he has a track record of "is this legit?" posts. Trolling for info

Plus only 2 posts in last 6 weeks but nothing in previous 6 years. Account created in 2011. Just saying.

I've had issues with purchasing watches twice through eBay.

One was a fake Tudor Sub from a "local" jeweler (they're located about 50 miles from me). I received the watch through the mail and immediately knew it was a fake. I contacted the seller and they claimed they didn't know and would refund my money. It took a while, but I did get my money back.

Second was a fully documented DRSD from Germany. Before I received the watch, I thought the dial looked off. I posted some pics on TRF and many confirmed the dial was fake. I contacted the seller and he said that I should just refuse delivery so it gets sent right back. I wanted to see the watch for myself, so I did receive it and confirmed that it was a fake dial.
I paid through Paypal. The seller contacted me right after I won the bidding and asked that I pay direct. I said I didn't know them and couldn't take the chance of paying directly as I wouldn't be covered. Boy am I glad I did!
They came up with some lame excuse that they couldn't refund my money because their account was limited to only $25K (I paid $40K for the watch!). They then said that I should let it go the three days and open an official complaint so they can get me my money back. I did and within a few days later, I had my money refunded in full. My seller didn't ghost me at least.

Bottom line: If you paid with Paypal, you're covered no matter what.

On the next one, find a friend that can check things like this. It’s a horrendous fake with at least 4-5 clear indicators. No biggie, your cash is wrapped up for maybe a few weeks but you get it back. That’s more than a lot of people can say when buying fakes.

Funny! I noticed that too.. He's feeling confident now that he got one person so now he can find another one. Never understood people trying to save a couple bucks rather than use common sense and use a reputable AD or gray. I have a hard time feeling bad when people get taken anymore especially when there are many high volume gray dealers on here and elsewhere that are reputable. Sure they charge more but a few bucks to sleep at night seems well worth it. The greed factor always takes over in human beings.

Thats debatable. I don't think greed is the motivation here.

It is possible for a scrambled serial number to start with F, but it would be followed by seven more numbers/letters (for a total of 8). An F followed by six more numbers (total of 7) would be a 2003 watch which this clearly is not. That is one sure sign it is fake......besides all the other hints of this being fake!

I was scared to death to buy one on line. I knew I didn't know enough to avoid being scammed, so I went with a known retailer, DavidSW.

I'd just like to learn a little and I am curious what you guys picked up on from the pics.
Exactly. With DavidSW you’re dealing with a 100% up front total quality seller. I made the same calculus. David is amazing and it’s worth it to have complete confidence.

Just got my money back from eBay. They made me wait a few days to hear back from him and then another few days for him to send a return label. He never responded or sent the label so they just refunded the full amount with shipping.
So..... anyone want to buy a watch? ;)
