PAM 48 question

Hello all,

I see some Panerai PAM48 models have "automatic" on the bottom of the face and some don't.

Can someone please explain this...

Is this watch a winding watch or an automatic watch with movement?

I am so new to this topic so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much in advance!

They are all automatic. The older series didn't say automatic, but all are 7750 movements. I can't remember the exact series they switched, but I used to own a 49 (white 48) and it didn't have automatic on it. There isn't much difference in pricing, but some preferred the non-automatic.
