What can I say ... beautiful dogs and cats, cat person myself but since I had to take care of this little rascal for almost 2 months ... even after destroying everything she could get her hands on when I was not home, ye gotta love ur pets.

Prince; my first cat was a Calico, they sure have some character, even for a cat lol.

At one time had more than 5 cats running around but unfortunately lost almost all of them due to a cat disease.
Still think about them once in awhile and a smile appears every time.

Great thread.

Everyones pets are awsome..I love animals as well. That pit bull in the picture is actually a rescue dog. She was hit by a car and then abandoned at the vet.
I love those benagal cats of yours!!! Im not a cat person, but for one of those I could probably make an exception. How big do they get? Friendly or a bit on the wild side????

For what it's worth, I'm not a cat person either. But, a few years back I came across an article on exotic pets (I've had some pretty interesting pets to include a Canadian TimberWolf Hybrid). Well Bengals are Asian Leopard Hybrids and their personality is much more like a dog then a cat. Males can get up to about 20lbs and females top out at 12 - 15lbs. They are not built like traditional domestic cats though. Long back legs and shorter front legs, very musculur and they move like a leopard. They always look like they're stalking something, lol. They love water (and are constantly bitching for my wife or I to turn a tub on so they can play in the water). Very entertaining and lovable companions. Wayyy to damn smart though and they have a rediculouse verticle. It's said a bengal has a standing verticle jump of up to 6ft. I don't disagree. Amazing agility. They are expensive but if you're spending time on this site then that probably isn't a huge concern I would think. Average price in US for a bengal is 1K - 2K if you get the kitten fixed with X number of days after buying. If you do not get the kitten fixed the price jumps to 3K each. Mine are fixed, you don't want a male spraying in your house anyway, lol. Please feel free to contact me for more detailed info if needed/wanted.

Now those are some great looking pets. I have a regular cat and am thinking about getting an English Bulldog. How to they get along?

Tsavo and Rock are buddies, Silva on the other hand despises him, lol. Bulldogs are medical nightmares and expensive to maintain because of this. They also have a short life expectancy (around 8yrs). They are great but we will not get another English when Rock's time comes to an end. Our next will be a French Bulldog, Rock weighs in at 80lbs, a French is only about 30lb's but still has the same cool appearance. I would not recommend an English Bulldog do to their health issues. As far as companionship goes, he's my little 4 legged son.

Is this, as with many breeds due to 'over' breding?
I know that for instance some German Sheppard types have hip issues after some years because they are supposed to have lower hind legs for contests.

Thanks for the info Allen. I have heard/read a lot about all the medical issues involved with owning a Bulldog and that definitely gives me pause. Also, the life expectancy of 8 years is a tough one to swallow. It is so hard to loose a pet and 8-10 years is too soon to have to deal with that if it is avoidable.

I have never seen a French Bulldog in person but they are cool in the pics I've seen. A little more lean and from memory they look a little like a large Pug, I could be wrong. I need to give them another look.

I want a 4 legged son and I've always heard that Bulldogs are so loyal and with a mug like that what's not to love.
