1000th thread on uk price increase

So does anyone have any more info on price increase in uk? Are we thinking 1st Nov?
The pricing structure is still so out compared to the rest of Europe.
SubC in Spain is 6900 euros (£6190) retail in uk is £5450 I think. That's a saving of £740 for 2 hour cheap flight granted uk doesn't have any available however I feel they need to raise prices to align themselves with the rest of Europe.

Availability is a lot better in mainland Europe, in the last 2 months I have seen SS subs and GMTs in Portugal, Italy and Spain. If we had 10% increase that would put off all buyers from Europe and allow more availability to the UK.

They will make the necessary corrections soon i guess. This way supply may be restored to the same levels of the rest of Europe and the world (i.e. from extremely short to very short lol). They probably waited for the fluctuations of GBP to settle before they adjusted the price but one may only guess here. By the way thread is 995 you are wrong

Rolex can always lower prices if and when the pound the strengthens. I don't think 10% increase would force people to other brands

It's unlikely, but they could do it. Patek have dropped prices before as have many others

There are very few overseas buyers now as most ADs have a locals only policy so the demand side is not the issue, it is very low supply which after the Brexit cleanout last July Rolex have still not seen fit to replenish adequately. A price rise would lead to more parity but there is no pressing case to raise prices any more as the Pound is stronger and more stable, and supply will not suddenly change here when it is falling even in the US now.

My guess of the Rolex World View would be if Sterling recovers and the UK becomes a higher price than the EU they would resolve the anomaly by increasing prices across the EU to match the UK.

Matey just picked up a BLNR from Fraser Hart at Brent Cross they are launching their new Rolex Boutique .

Salesman told him 10% increase from early November . Take that for what it is or isn't :-)

So unlikely the day this happens is the day the D500 is buyable on a walk in.

I’m not being rude but I never paid much attention to the price outside the uk , but how did it pan out when the pound was strong against the euro ? . I can remember when Europe was the best place to buy so what’s happened . I feel rolex will be like the rest of us seeing how hard Brexit might be .

Anyone else noticed that the Rolex UK website no longer shows the RRPs for the models?

Weird. They are not showing on my screen. Instead there is a "find a retailer" button where the "show/hide price" option used to sit. Perhaps they are just helping me avoid grief from the missus.

Yep, prices still showing but don’t see an option to hide the price. Although that doesn’t bother me.

Prices are showing on the mobile website:

But not showing on the non-mobile website:

Contradicting website content claims resolved. Price rise conspiracy rumours inevitably continue.

ROLEX PRICE INCREASE 2017

So, there we have it, 1st November is the date for the Rolex price increase 2017. Or is it? The rumors are circulating again and not without good reason. The U.K. is an incredibly cheap place to buy your next Rolex watch, and this is wholly down to differences in currency valuations. Since the vote to leave the European Union, a potential Brexit has seen the value of the pound tumble, and whilst this hasn’t enabled us in the U.K. to buy Rolex watches cheaper, it has helped our European counterparts save some serious Euros! This article will explain why a Rolex price increase in 2017 may become a reality.

It might be fluff but makes me think something is blowing our way?

Am surprised they even let you buy a BLNR, from experience this AD openly holds the high demand items for their "regular" and high spending customers :(

Tried on a 116719BLRO in Birmingham yesterday and advised "hurry up" price on the way. PS: Very nice watch - maybe a bit more weight than my DD40mm.
