I went 112. I prefer the simple clean sandwich dial and display back.

Logo for me. The painted dial is exquisite, and looks more in keeping with the classic look

112 by a nose

Tough call but 112 wins by a nose imho.

Love both. A little score to 112 for sandwich dial. But both are great basic pam. :)

Ahem...

There's "vintage" Panerai, then there's pre-V. The so-called Bettarini cases used for the historical Luminors are based on pre-V cases and used the Unitas 6497 (...ETA). I believe all Pre-Vs were painted. Sandwich dials are exclusive to Vintage (which used the Rolex Cortebert 618 as well as Angelus 240 SF 8-day movements).

Since the OP is considering between the 000 and 112, the 000 (or older 112 as Mik pointed out) would be more true to pre-V history. The logo was used on some Pre-Vs, like the 201/A to the left of the Mare Nostrum...

I had a N series, Pam 112 for 18 months. beautiful watch. The sandwich dial stands out. Like it simple and plain..... now switched to pam 183... trying the radiomir.... different feel.
enjoy in good health

Between the two I like the 112 better, but I rather get the 111, I'm biased I guess lol
