Pam 90 stops while on winder

Ive had my watch since new for a few years now. I rotate my watches so I keep them on a winder so I can grab and go.

My Pam seems to stop winding now, or takes a lot more to give it juice. The panerai is the only watch that keeps stopping while on the winder(quad) and none of the other watches lose time or power on there. All wind both ways in their sequence.

Even today, Ive been wearing the watch for almost 6 hours and its only half charged(thank you power reserve marker). Sometimes it wont even be 3/4ths charged by the time I take it off after about 14 hours of wearing.

I dont feel the "wobble" anymore either. Is it really time for service already?

I don't have personal experience with that watch...but if you are wearing an automatic (or keep it on a winder) and it is stopping, then I think you have a problem. I think your watch has an ETA based movement though so you probably have some options besides sending it back to the PASC. Assuming the watch is not under warranty, I'd probably ask a local watchmaker to check it out.

Yeah, I just didnt want to accept the fate. Ill bring it back to my local AD where I got it and have them take a look at it.

Will the watch reach 100% if you manually wind it?

I'm assuming you have the winder set to CW800 turns/day?

Yes and sometimes if I wear it two days in a row it will reach 100% on its own.

I dont know how many turns. I just know on the same winder it used to not stop, now it does stop. None of my other watches stop. And they rotate positions on the winder randomly.

Sounds like there's some resistance preventing the rotor from swinging normally and winding the watch.

Thats exactly what it feels like when I try flicking it with my fingers to wind it. Ill bring it in to my shop soon then.

You can have it looked by your AD and they will advise you, if its too costly and its an ETA based movement, better take it to a local watch guy.
