Boutique vs AD
So I purchased two APROs back in the day when you could find them pretty easily. Unfortunately, I also bought them from places that are no longer AP ADs due to their consolidation.
Now I'm looking for another and have discovered just how impossible it seems to be. While I don't think I want anything more from AP after this, I still haven't written it off and I'm trying to decide where to start a relationship. There is an AD that is close to me, but it would not be significantly further for me to go to an AP boutique. Does one get more allocation over the other? Is there somewhere that I have a better shot at a 15202 eventually? |

I’m less worried about that with this AD than I am about the allocations they receive. Do ADs receive less pieces or more limited series than the boutiques?

The ADs are getting less and less of the 'important' pieces. The boutique is the way to go.

The boutique is the best place to go, you will go to AD only when there is no boutique in your city. Some of the models are not available at ADs and normally they get a lot less stock than the boutique.

The local AD told me to get what I want from the boutique, as the amount of stock they were getting was rather limited - and then AP pulled the plug on them. So I know what I would do (well, I know what I did...).

Go boutique for both an allocation and building a relationship.
