Bought my first at 35, but didn't keep it. (Great deal, flipped quick!)

My first "keeper" was this year (38) and I've got 2 ROOs now. :-)

I was 60. But I also got my 2nd AP at 60. And my 3rd. Does that count as a 20 average?

This is an interesting thread. I thought the ages might be a bit higher, maybe more toward 40'ish. Hmm...

To all you young bloods out there already owning APs, care to share some details of how you purchased them? Legitimate work and purchase, gift, over the top self indulgence?

I am almost 23 and have my sights set on a diver in the next two years as long as its not financially detrimental. This forum isnt helping..

For me I used to save up and buy, never borrow my father always said esp for luxuries, but once I got interested in APs and precious metals then I decided, as I have a fair bit in the bank due to some sharp trading I did back in the dotcom boom, that rather than have it all in the bank earning low interest Id rather take a bit out and buy these watches at a good discount and enjoy the money on my wrist, so even though the initial outlay is quite large I wont lose much on selling it, so thats how I justified taking the first couple of larger plunges.
