GMT luminor titanium
Hi all,
I'm not up on the Panerai market, but fancy one to add to the collection. I want an Automatic and have been offered the above for £3500. Its a 2004 model I think and looks in great condition. The questions I have or of course is this fair money and secondly, how do the service costs for Panerai amd to a rolex? Many thanks all. |

If you are referring to PAM 89, its got a Valjoux (ETA) movement which can be serviced by any good watchmaker. If you go this route, servicing costs should be less than Rolex. If you elect to send it to Panerai Authorized Service Center the servicing costs would probably be comparable to Rolex.

Not having had a PAM serviced, I'd say you will be paying a little more for the service on a GMT mvt. Given it has the extra hand and internal movement parts. I wouldn't let this put you off. Service should be less expensive in comparison to a RSC, but still won't be inexpensive.
As Mik says, check out watchrecon. I'd try getting the price down depending on age and whether it's been serviced or not. You also have the advantage of doing a face 2 face, and seeing the watch up close. Also check out other watches in the PAM range. I initially wanted a auto, ended up with a manual wind, as most of my auto's in rotation have to be hand cranked as I can't be bothered with a watch winder. J |
