Help Needed on 1675 Mark 1
Been offered a GMT 1675 Mark 1.
Movement and case and serial number matches to Mark 1's. My concern here is the dial. Is it legit? Seems like a recon job done. Especially the SWISS - T < 25, the '-' is aligned to the right of the 30-min marker, seems more like a Mark 2 alignment. The 'T' also seems to have broken off at the left of the horizontal line. Other than that, I do not see other discrepancies other than the prints not being crisp enough. Comments from the experts, Pls. |

My apologies.
Are these photos good enough? |

From the pics you have posted, this MK1 lines up OK to me. You're correct that the Swiss is a smidge to the right v. my MK1 but the rest of it is true. Looks like a good watch to me. Here's mine.

Thanks a lot for the pointers
But I've did a small research online, looked at dozens of Mark 1s, never seen one with the '-' aligned to the right of the 30min marker. Isn't this a red flag? Or is this misprint negligible? |

I've just checked over 40 of my file photos - all from different GMT 1675s. They all look like the one below.
Vermyapre, spend some time comparing font alignments with my attached photo here to your dial.

Thanks for the link, mine doesn't look like a Mark 1.5.
The 3 horizontal lines on my E are all of the same length. Quote:

I did check all the font alignments prior to posting this thread for help.
Only the "-" was misaligned. |

Ok, call me crazy after looking way too closely at these photos, but the following two credible examples look to have a slightly unaligned " - " at 6 o'clock as well:
1) From Bob's Watches, note the first photo especially: https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-bl...ster-1675.html 2) From this forum, note the photos from TRF member PETER38 (the very first one is a nice close shot, so start there): https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=530680 |

Thank you, but I don't think those 2 are Mark 1.
Correct me if I'm wrong. Quote:
