Help with a GMT 1675, 1966 Gilt Date Wheel
Hi,
I want to purchase a 1966 GMT Master 1675 Gilt, no chapter ring. It has closed 6 and 9 and rounded 3. Is this correct? Or should it have open 6,9,16,19,29 and closed 26 with flat 3? I thought all 1675 should have open 6 and 9 however the dealer informed me gilt gloss dials should have closed 6 and matt white dials should have open. Is this true? Thanks for your time! |

Your source is incorrect regarding his assessment of date wheels. A 1966 GMT would have the same date wheel as the others through the end of the 1960s.
Here you go, the "hooked 7."
