Uk Auction - 1665/0 Double red Sea Dweller.

At the Fellows Auction, lot 253.
https://www.fellows.co.uk/1956-lot-2...t_detail&year=

Not my watch, but I had the opportunity to have a look prior to it going to auction and was allowed to take some photo's, which if any of you guys are interested in purchasing, it may help you decide!
I apologise for my photography skills..... but it may give you some details!

One owner from new. Has come straight from a service at Rolex UK.

Beautiful, but those poor, poor crown guards. The photos on the Fellows website show them a little better ... and they've been polished to near points. I wonder if the UK RSC did that during the recent service.

saw that as well - was kind of shocked how pointed they were considering the rest of the case

They(Rolex) polished the lugs on my 1016 to be nearly pointed, it's being fitted with the correct T22 domed crystal at the moment, I pick it up on Saturday, I'll post a load of photos and ask advice from the good people here.

in the auction description:

"Dial appears to be in an average condition with some light marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe"

they also say the "Case appears to be in good condition with minor scratches and marks. Rotating bezel rotates"

if they say the case is good and the dial is average, you kind of wonder what we are missing from the photos of the dial....

TBH I've never seen a Rolex listed on fellows without that description, it's a vintage watch, you have to cover all your bases I suppose!
It's best to loon at a combination of both pics, like I said my photography skills are not the best!
