Need the Pro Photographers of trf for this one :)
I have a Canon EOS Rebel XS and I want to take macro-photographs of my vintage Rolex watches. I am an amateur photographer and I need advice on what lenses to use and whether or not there is a guide or a book that I can purchase in order to learn how to perfect this technique; maybe it is as simple as a setting and a Macro lens?
I am using an advanced light-box so I think I have the lighting down btw. |

Canon's 100mm 2.8 macro and a good tripod with light box and you will be all set.
Try f32, f22, f16 to get your desired results http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...USM_Macro.html

There is no quick way around it. Once you have the right equipment and lighting, it is all practice and more practice.
A pair of good eyes and hands goes a long way too. Have you though about post processing too? Good luck and have loads of fun. |

I know it will take practice but I need the right equipment first. I am going to order the lens and try it out this week; look forward to some sample pics.
Post Processing? |
