From my recollection the 177 looks a lot or basically is the 111 but in Titanium. Just depends on if you want the polished SS look or the brushed Ti look. Plus I'm sure you'll want to consider the weight difference between the two.
Good to see you here Jimmy. We'll have to get together soon before your big arrival. |

Agreeing with above, are you looking for the brushed look or a SS look? Welcome to this side buddy

177 is like the titanium version of 111(stainless steel) and the weight is about 50% so it wears light and easy. It is also more stealthy. Try them both on to see which one feels better on the wrist wise!
Good luck with the hunt as it is the most fun! Fred |

old picture here but the weight, the feel and look of brushed titanium vs. stainless steel is very different.

I just purchased a 177 and I love it! It's nice to have a lighter option sometimes. Also, the brushed is more my style. I was thinking about the 112, but the second hand really does it for me, and the polished SS was just too shiny. I'm incredibly happy with it so far. Now time to find more straps. Best of luck with your decision.

The 177 was my first Panerai. It's a great watch. The titanium case makes it light weight and the color tone is slightly darker than stainless steel models. Love the sandwich dial. Also, the antique brown gator that comes with it really looks awesome.
I always recommend checking out one of the logos (000 or 005) for a first Panerai. These are stainless steel with sausage (painted) dials. Here's my dad's zero. |

Depends on if you like the Ti. Otherwise, it's just as good as the others mentioned.

I recently sold mine. Although a great watch, I found the titanium to be too dull. In addition, Ti is quite prone to dings and scratches. It's the same case for SS but it is a lot easier to polish. It's a personal preference. My friend only buys titanium cases and hates the shiny SS.

Not my favorite model as the all brushed look looks a bit boring IMHO...

Best of luck, you'll probably change your mind again and end up with something completely different like a 372 or a 292, lol. This Panerai thing is confusing.

Both are great, 177 and 111, i was lucky enough to be ae to try them both at the same time.. Went for the 111, suited me better on the wrist..
Weight is not really an issue, the luminor case fits very well on the wrist. The polished look will be less after a few scratches, which makes it even look better imho :) For me it's a keeper! Good luck! |

177 is fine if you dont mind the light weight
i prefer the 111 - same movement but looks more bling and wears heavier |

if you already have 111, theres no need to collect 177.
there more panerai to collect, such as 372, 312, 127 etc. |
