After obsessively inspecting the watch the day I had it I also notice a scratch on the movement. Very hard to see but it was there. So I do think the watch was opened and fixed for some sort of damage.

Well I finally got my BNIB 5164 on Friday and couldn't be happier. The whole ordeal turned out for the better, instead of a preowned watch I got a BNIB for a superb price. Here are some photos, and thanks everyone for the support and suggestions.
