This is indeed a challenging choice! The more that I look at pictures of the 5320G, the more I grow to like it; I think that the case is very interesting and well designed, but cannot come to terms with the cream-coloured lacquer dial in particular.

There is perhaps a compromise within the Patek Philippe catalogue that I think is a better selection to my eye, the 5327G-001.

Now, with that pic posted, I would add that IMHO, the 5320g, while beautiful with so many nice characteristics, appears a little too contrived. I liked it more when I first saw it and tried it on, but I've since cooled to it. YMMV.
Beautiful shot. If it was a different dial color, say blue, that'd be my choice.

Edit: just like on the 5327G above.

Not sure it will have that vintage feel with blue dial

Ahhhhhh, I got it. I know you're a PP guy, but, is that why the AP JA Chrono has that same colored dial?

Can't comment on AP at all but think you will find that colour lacquer goes back to 40's and 50's with Patek and I think even 5327R

Was it tough to get your 5320G?

Your picking it up in September if I recall correctly. Looking forward to pictures.
I would like your take on the luster of the dial. One review/blog felt it was too shiny. I am looking to do this watch but it looks like its fairly well spoken for here in the US for this year.

14/9....if it leaves Geneva on time as this is the first batch so hold thumbs. The dial is what dud it for me...its lacquer so has a deep cream to it...almost looks enamel

I haven't gotten one, nor did I order one. This pic is from the Patek reveal of the 2017 Basel pieces at my local AD a few months ago.

5170 and it's not even close!

Or, that incredibly beautiful 5327 that was posted above. Good God, those Breguet numerals, that blue dial, the leaf hands...

Personally 5320. Based off of its casual look and useful reference, it would get more wrist time compared to the 5170P. I also have quite a few chronos in my collection, one AC, but no PC.

I have also ordered calf strap with prong buckle similar to 5524 to dress down further
