Patek Reference Numbers
Hello fellow TRFers,
I wondered if anybody knows what year Patek started using reference numbers for their watches? I ask as I have just purchased a c. 1937 Patek pocket watch from Derek Dier of Watches to Buy in Canada and he said that he didn't think Patek used reference numbers that early. Any help/advice would be appreciated Paul |

Any chance the movement was re-cased? I've seen a ton of those for what it's worth.

some of the early pieces had no reference number . My 96 has no ref 96 on case back. All had case and movement numbers though
Pocket watches are whole different ball game - not sure about reference numbers but same applies for case and movement numbers Julian |
