The dot dial has been discontinued for 10 years, I would think any increase in value would have already occurred by now. As someone else mentioned, Panerai makes so many models that are similar and have a tendency to reincarnate a design as a “different” model.

I can't see the reason to discontinue pam233.. why "finally"? planning to resell your watch? Personally I think this watch should never be discontinued, it is one of the best (if not the best) panerai looking watch. This should be like rolex submariner, keep producing for ever and maybe release some special editions from time to time.

Who says it is discontinued? I can see it on the website. They call it PAM00233, but it is the same. It says "Limited availablity", so maybe that's it?

I have no intention of selling my 233 dot. But it is nice when you see a valued piece go up in value.

Yeah, I just checked still on the website. Unless Panerai doesn’t pull discontinued models from their site…

The 233 is an unusual PAM. It was one of the first to have an inhouse movement (the first?). It was unusually complicated for a PAM. It has the Luminor 1950 case, but anyone who has seen it in person knows it just looks a little different from everything else. It has the domed crystal. It's just a beautiful reference; sad to see it go.

Nah, I have a couple discontinued Panerais, 029 and 243, and their value haven’t increased over the years, maybe decreased.

This watch is as it should be - worn and a bit scarred and marred.

I rashed my bezel on my 1084 the first week I had it. It's like getting a door ding on a new car - One less thing to worry about.

Cheers! continue to wear it in good health

If buying watch main purpose is to gain value, get the hype watches; but you might be mugged when you wear them to the restaurant on your way back to car park. Panerai price dropped which is good you can buy at cheaper price. I wish Panerai price stay as it is so that I can buy more.
