Accuracy Before and After Service?

My 35 year old DJ has not been serviced in quite a while and seems to lose close to 20 seconds per day. Do you think they will be able to get it back into spec - +/- 2 seconds per day?

I doubt they would attempt to get it to +/-2 on your watch. That was not the standard for Rolex when your watch was manufactured.

I don’t have any 35 year old Rolexes, but the two I have had serviced so far were over 10 years old and now run -1.0 and +0.3 respectively (both are 3185 movements)

When I had my 1984 Datejust serviced they made it clear to me that after service the watch will be guaranteed to run within COSC (+6/-4) spec. They would NOT attempt +/-2 per day.

I had my 40 year old 16014 serviced and it was a consistent +1 a day.
