I'm working on making this happen as we speak... there is just something about a perfect trio that I find appealing

Keeping my BLNR and my SPB051 then selling the rest to fund an 1815 Up/Down in RG

Unless someone can post the same in gold, this wins.

Ideal 3 watch collection

I have a Sub and plan to get a Datejust.

I think that’s all I’ll ever need.

If I had to pick a 3rd watch, I’d probably go with a Speedmaster Pro.

If money were no object, maybe it would be a Sub, Nautilus 5711, and a DayDate.

I’m not really aspiring to have a huge collection...

I would go for an ideal 4 piece collection. If only Rolex then it will be FG DD, SS Daytona, FG green Daytona, and a Hulk, or TT Root Beer. Or maybe an ideal 5 piece collection is better.

As long as we're dreaming:

PP Ref 2499
Rolex Ref 126710BLRO
Breitling Ref 800

The Patek isn't even the rarest of the three

If I had to have only 3 Rolexes, then I'd have:

18238 (YG 36mm DD)
[M]116619LB (WG 40mm "Smurf")
either my 16233 or a 116400GV-Z (SS 40mm blue Milgauss)

For lower end perspective my current 3 are ideal for me based on what I can afford:

Beater/Outdoor/Weekend: Seiko Sarb017 Alpinist on nato
Dress: Nomos Tangente with standard silver dial on leather
Everyday: Rolex 126200 Datejust black dial, smooth bezel, oyster

For under $7500 combined I like this 3 combo

My top trio that I’ve owned would be 3 subs.... The 116613LB, 116613LN, and let’s not forget the hulk to top it all off... you can say I’m a bit flashy with the two tones.

If I were to do a solid gold, I would definitely replace the LN with a YG 41 Day Date
