Bob Ridley, Watchmakers International...... Thank you!

I can honestly say Mr Bob is one special guy!  The care and time he put into listening to my goals and the follow through in bringing my watch back to it's original beauty is hard to find in any industry.  Our initial call was cordial, fun, kind of a let's get to know each other vibe.  i found myself unusually comfortable sending my 18038 for what turned out to be a restoring instead of a simple service. i knew there would probably be some "extra" needed but i just didnt want Rolex to just say, "scrap the band you need a new one. This is damaged, that is damaged........ the case is damaged....replace it all!.....oh, and that's $20k, thank you."  Mr Bob fulfilled all my wishes and then some.  Now i have the pleasure of enjoying my timepiece for years to come and I would recommend WI to anyone with the confidence knowing what i know now.  Excellence.  His customer service is second to none.  He even sent me an add from 1985 (that's my 18038's birth year) which just shows the love he has for his job and the care of his customers.  Watchmakers International,  I recommend them.  Thanks Mr Bob.

Bob Ridley is a true gentleman and one of the best at what he does. Your watch couldn't be in better hands. Great results, congrats!

That's fantastic. I've heard nothing but excellent things about him. I hope I won't need his services for a long time, but when I do he's going to be getting my business for sure.

Great post.....that's awesome! Mr. Ridley is certainly the consummate professional. He serviced my 16710 GMT-Master II (see this thread for the before and after) almost ten years ago now, and it was an excellent experience. Not only is he a most honorable gentleman to deal with, his skills are tops. My watch came back looking just like new, he expertly laser welded a couple bad dents that were totally eradicated, and, the watch ran within two seconds per week in accuracy -- plus, I made a new friend as well! Kudos to Mr. Ridley.

Your watch looks amazing! My family has definitely made a life long friend with Mr Bob..... We've got a cpl other watches to send and honestly, his love for the craft... it's inspiring. We'll use him again. I hope others do also. It's the least I can do for such an amazing job fixing things Rolex would have just charged $10k+ to replace.... A perfectly good clasp, etc.... Watchmakers International y'all!

Love the 18038. Lots of character to that watch.
