Decisions decisions..

Would you trade a 2015 BLNR full set and cash for the new kermit sub? If so, what do you think is a fair amount of cash to make up for the difference?

No, I would keep the batman and save some more money to acquire new Kermit at the boutique/AD later.

Absolutely not. I’ll take a GMT > Sub any day.

If you are considering an 18k ish Gray price to meet the trade parameters, then absolutely not.. if an AD trade-in, depends on what cash is being asked for.

I’d do the trade if the deal was right. I’d consider adding a 2-3 k but that’s probably just me

No way, the BLNR is worth more than the Cermit. I'd wait for an AD to come through. If you meant you were getting cash back, then I could possibly see doing it of you were getting a few K (3-5) back.

I would not only because I prefer the GMT blue-black bezel better, not from a value or collectability standpoint.

No way. That would be an awful trade. The BLNR is a keeper. Just wait a year and you’ll be able to the Sub at MSRP at an AD.

Absolutely not. You know your BLNR is not being made anymore. Who knows how long Rolex will run the Cermit for or what supply will be like when the pandemic chills out. The other weird place my mind goes with these subs is that people will start throwing aftermarket inserts on the black subs to make them look like the cermit. It wasn't easy with the hulk because of the dial. That could matter.

I'd keep that BLNR. It's such a cool piece in the Rolex lineup...and it's never going to somehow fade away in the background. It's achieved that kind of status/ pedigree, IMHO.

Nope! BLNR is a nicer watch... especially on oyster.

Cermit hype will settle down. Just be patient and keep your GMT.

If the discontinued BLNR is worth $12k to $19K and the new Ceramic LV sub is at $18k to $28K then if you're buying on the secondary market the you should be able to buy between the 18- 19k range today. So what you get on trade for the BLNR will tell you how much cash you will need for the 126610LV. You might like the case design of the new sub more than the older 116710 case. Many people telling you to wait. I would buy now. Get what you want now and keep your name on the list to get a sub then if you do get one, sell one. Although the US gets a lot of these watches, the world demand has increased dramatically. Who knows how long your wait will be. Enjoy it now and wait for another one.

I would not. I wouldn't even do this trade straight up. Market on the sub has softened quite a bit from the first few listed in the low 20's. Believe they are selling in high teens right now, which is still insane. I believe prices on them will come down over time where you could do a 1:1 trade, but I never would. The GMT is a better/ more versatile/ timeless piece imo.

I would pass. The Batman is a nice piece that you shouldn’t give up. But I will say the Kermit is pretty bad ass.
