Invisaline - - Anyone Used It?

I just got invisaline braces last week...

Anyone here had success or not with the product? Any insight you can share?

I am a dentist and they work. Great warranty if you relapse they will give you a new set of slingers at a reduced fee

I did, and with great success. At first they may feel a bit tight but after a couple days you get used to them. Great product as you can take them off to eat and brush, super easy to live with. I used them after I took the braces off as my lower teeth needed a bit more aligning than Invisalign could provide. Still sleep with them every night and plan to, help keep the teeth straight. Sometimes I needed to take them out to talk in meetings and such, but that's what makes it so good. You can put them right back in, AND they really do work. You notice it if you go a day or two without wearing them, the teeth will move and then once you wear them you will feel the tightness. Good luck!

Will it eventually move the teeth permanently? Or will teeth always snap back?

I did smile direct club. Pretty much the same thing. Worked great and glad I went through with it. First few days though it feels like you were punched in the mouth. You will need to still wear retainers at night once completed.

Yes, permanently. However your teeth always move and will want to move back some so wearing the Invisalign at night keeps them in check. Even to this day if I skip a couple nights, the fit gets tight for a few minutes. You feel it.

Just make sure to wear the retainers when it’s all done or else...

They work well when used properly! I’m almost done tweaking the final stages. I wasn’t thrilled with the results after my initial set of 29 trays; more refinement was needed. You will discover any imperfection your teeth have through the whole process. Lol. They definitely have lessened my TMJ symptoms. Wearing a nighttime retainer will now be a given, as others have said, or teeth will shift again.

I'm sure it is case by case, depending on amount of movement required, but what time frame are those who use it experiencing?

My wife used them and they worked well only problem I had was on a couple of occasions we would be out for dinner and wrapped them in her napkin and then forgot to put them back in so said goodbye to a few pairs but her chompers are looking good :-)

I haven't yet but it's certainly something I'm considering. The positive feedback from previous users and Dentists are giving me a lot to consider.

I started them in February and am pretty happy with the results so far. I may be done end of next month but we'll see how it goes after my last set of trays. So glad I opted for these over braces. Having them once in my teens was enough.

Each set of trays are for 2 weeks. I’m on my 35th tray with roughly 14 left before I’m finished. At times, I wish I’d done braces. Taking them out every time you want to eat anything (then brushing afterwards, each time) can be a positive weight loss experience or pain in the a**. Lol. Definitely buy a ton of toothpaste for cleanings of teeth & invisaligners!

I got "invisible" braces about 25 years ago and what I didn't realize about teeth is they are basically "floating" in your gums. And are pretty easy to move around.

BUT they always want to go back to their original place so all these years later I still wear a retainer at night. If I don't wear it for a few nights, when I do put it back in you can feel the pressure as the teeth have moved slightly already and are being pushed back into place.

I don't think braces ever are a permanent corrective device and for them to work you will need to wear a retainer at night forever. That was my experience anyways.

That being said, I have straight teeth and except for a few hockey pucks not many replacements.

I have been doing smile direct club for over two years, I would think 6 months of it is my fault. In hindsight I wish I would have gone with Invisalign and a dentist.

Most of this is incredibly wrong. They don't "float". They are anchored in bone pretty securely unless they have severe periodontal disease. They are quite resistant to moving and the pain you experience as they move is their telling you they don't like it.
They don't necessarily want to go back to their original place but your teeth do drift your entire life (mesial drift). They do have rotational memory.
Wearing a retainer is very necessary if a fixed retainer is not used. I wear mine every third night.
Invisalign is a proven effective orthodontic option.

I had braces about 35-40 years ago, which moved my teeth to exactly where they needed to be. I was never given a retainer or anything of the like and my teeth are worse now than they were before I had braces. Anchored in bone or not, they will certainly return to exactly how they want to be....keep wearing that retainer
