Fellow TRFers, a fellow member just informed me that there is a scammer out there posing as yours truly using the email address "dbhakk22@gmail.com" (which is very close to my real email address: dbhak22@gmail.com - notice the extra 'k' in the scammer's address).

The scammer is using links to my positive references and claiming to be located in Annapolis, MD.

I just had the same thing happen to me. This person copied my post and reposted it for a lower price... I followed the link to chronocentric and reported it.

Bumping this thread for additional visibility as I've heard that this scammer continues to post on Chronocentric using my name and the fake email address listed above. Do your due diligence folks! Hate hearing about fellow watch enthusiasts getting scammed, :(

In he past you could report scam email-addresses to gmail and have them removed, have you tried that? Someone clearly registered that email address to fool people.

Unfortunately not anymore. Google refers you to the IC3 to file an incident complaint. Google states:

“Unfortunately, Gmail is unable to participate in mediations involving third parties regarding impersonation.”

Unfortunately giving money to anybody on chronocentric is like sending money to Nigeria to claim your 40 million dollar inheritance. It’s probably going to end up bad.
