Any Red Flags on this one?
I am going to look at this one today - any experts see anything fishy? Thanks.
Said bought at Tourneau with all papers - shouldn't Tourneau be able to verify authenticity if purchased there? |

Remember, you are always at risk of the seller not showing you pics of someone elses Rolex. Make them set the watch at a specific time and date and send it over. This may help...

Without....
....seein the mvmt, OR the papers (with band removed to match papers with the watch), OR telephonic verification with Tourenau, I would be hesitant. However, everything does appear to be copesetic in your clear pic's. If the seller does NOT have anything to hide, take it to a reputable jeweler and ask them to open it to view the mvmt and remove the band to check the stampings on the case for ser# etc.
Thats my story and Im sticking to it. BTB, NICE watch-I own a 16613 with the older 93153 bracelet. Sincerely, Stan. |

Thanks - he is cool with me meeting me at the AD he bought it at and having them verify the serial numbers with their records. I called the store and asked if they would open it up and they seemed hesitant - saying they are not responsible for dust, etc. getting inside. Should this be a concern? Honestly, I think I need to see the movement for piece of mind. thanks again...

One glance will tell you if it is genuine Rolex mvmt. Probably should be a 3135. Look for the 2 red gears and the ref# (3135). If you are some what familiar with the Rolex mvmt, you know what to look for. Sincerely, Stan. |

Bassplayer... Bought my Sub at that Tourneau. They will have record of the transaction and should not have any problem opening it up. The watch is beautiful! Good luck and let us know how it turns out!!!
