Anyone tried midas straps?

Spoke to AP over the phone no chance of ordering straps in UK at this time. Looking for some alternatives in the meantime, anyone tried midas? Ideally looking for UK located retailers, thanks.

What kind of straps are you looking for? There are many different strap makers out there so it would probably help if you commented on what model you're looking at and what material (rubber, exotic skin, leather, etc.).

Assuming you're looking at straps for a RO or ROO, rubber always works well. Horus is where I've purchased several for my Ghost. They look great on ROO's in particular, but these are not the best made straps. They are simply just a piece of rubber and lack any real "reinforcement" you'd see on RubberB or Oysterflex straps.

If you want leather/exotic/textile, I've been very happy with Jean Rousseau. Delug Straps is another option too. With both of these, you're very likely going to need to go bespoke. The prices aren't insane, but they also aren't cheap. And of course you'll have to wait several weeks.

EDIT: RubberB also offers a waterproof "exotic" strap for APs. I don't own any but I believe there have been some other members that have commented that they are a great option, too.

Might be worth trying Owen & Robinson in Leeds. I spoke to the manager the other day and although their AD status has just ended at Christmas they can still get straps, already have some AP straps in stock, and will still be handling servicing for AP for customers in the north.
