Bitten by the gold bug
After thinking I would be happy with the small collection I have, I still have the desire to own an all gold Rolex
After trying on a DD2 (black face) and an all gold GMT2, I know I have to have one of these. (The pictures on fremstars instagram are not helping :) )However, to do this at the moment I will need to sell my white Milgauss and my 116613 and top up the difference with cash This will leave me with just my LVC So, the questions are as follows 1) Does this sound like a good idea or am I being too impatient taking this option as opposed to saving 2) What model do I go for? I honestly like both equally, what is a better all rounder? Look forward to hearing your thoughts |

Personally I prefer a quantity of Rolex watches to wear in rotation over just one or two. I get bored quickly so I rotate. If you decide to purchase a gold model go with the DD2. It is a much more different model than the GMTIIC from your LVC.

I would recommend saving up for it if you can, and keeping your current collection. Of course it will take longer, but I bet you would be more satisfied in the end.

DDII. That way you will have a dress watch, and the sporty LVC.
I don't know how big your wrist is, but maybe go for an original day date. That would save you some cash, and let you keep an additional piece. |

ddii but that white day disc would bug me ,,,be nicer with the disc darker , like the old black faced ones with the smokey grey and black dials , or even gold , but not white ,
infact the numbers not being the right way up would bug me too ,,, djii , but cleaner face would be my choice. |

I much prefer the GMTc for YG. For the DD2 I would get the chocolate RG. The GMTc and LVc is a great pairing, I will have hopefully the same soon, only with the LNc.

Well the Day Date 2 is my favourite watch. Both the GMT and the Day date 2 are stunning watches particularly in yellow gold. If you will not miss the two you have to sell then go for it. Ultimately depends if you don't sell the two watches how long you will have to save to buy either of the two you are considering.

I would do it for GMT. If your going to get the DD I would want to keep the SS GMT. I wouldn't miss the Milgauss one bit

Do you wear your 116613 & Milgauss? If so, I would say take your time and save up to add to your currently very nice collection. My two grails are the RG DDII with Chocolate dial & YG GMT II. I think I would go with the GMT II first.

Haha! Always glad to enable someone, truth be told my 116718 was my first YG timepiece and still one of my overall favorite watches to own and wear! My 218235 is also a nice reference to own, however, a reference I did not immediately fall in love with until steelerfan65 asked me to take another look at it... You own timeless Rolex watches and will advise you to keep them while you research both the DD2 and GMT on your wrist! One is strictly sporty and the other is a bit versatile! Feel free to PM me or pick my brain on Instagram at anytime!

I'd save up, but I am a hoarder or watches. How about a YG Sky-Dweller?

I am going to say the GMTII.
Selling the 116613 isn't going to be an issue with having a similar look from the GMTII. Dunno about the Milgauss, if you don't wear it all that often, then not a prob either. |

To me, if a gold watch is the goal, it's a Rolex, and it is a DD. Besides, it is more distinct from your LV than a GMT would be. I'd let go of the Milgauss, keep the Sub, just have to save up a little more.

They wear so differently that you have to try both to decide.

I would easily part with those two to attain either the 116718 or DDII.
You still have your SS model in the LVC which I think is a must. SS Sub + all gold Rolex is . |
