Price for Patek Tang and Deployment clasp

Hi,

As some of you may know I recently acquired a Patek Croc for my 5960/1a. I am really feeling this watch on the grey croc I purchased from European Watch Co in Boston. They did not have a Patek clasp or tang in stock so they gave me a generic tang.

I am interested in purchasing a Patek deployment clasp. I went by my local AD and was quoted over $4,000 for one. It seems expensive to me. I was ready for somewhere in the $1500 range. I declined to purchase it and asked them to email me the price of the tang so I could decide which way I want to go. They never emailed me.

Anyone familiar with pricing on the deployments (would rather have an oem deployment if possible but not at $4000) or tangs. And if different than what I was quoted where to get?

Pic of 5960/1a on strap for those who haven't seen.

I think the deployment clasp in gold is in the $3000 range and may be $4000 with the leather strap.

I would assume the SS deployment clasp would be less expensive. Perhaps those who have a leather strap SS Nautilus can chime in here with pricing of a SS deployment vs. tang buckle.

The deployment clasp in yellow gold was $3300-3600 when I purchased it directly from HSWA back in 2013. The leather strap was $440.

Looks great on leather man.

I saw some deployants on eBay a while back (1.5 to 3k range). They are all going to be white gold though I believe.

The tang buckle is exactly 830 euros as I asked them 10 days ago, they have only in gold, this was a white gold one, don't know the price in dollars but that should give you an idea, you need to know that they in theory don't have the right to sell either tang or deployant except for the reference on which it's supposed to go. For me they were ok as the deployant for my 5726 straps was too out centered and was hurting my wrist, so I had either to get a smaller strap with which to use the deployant, or use a tang for the normal size straps, I bought a smaller composite strap on which I put the deployant and got 2 10 euro tangs on the net for the other composite and alligator straps, so keep in mind it's not sure they will sell you, the salesman had to ask his manager's permission, which he got in my case, me they were ok as I couldn't wear the original straps with the original deployant if they are not ok and you really want a PP tang and come to Paris in the near future we can meet and I can get one for you if you want, or if you have a friend who comes to Paris I can get one with him, of course they will have to put it on my strap but a stop at any watchmaker and we'll take it off, but hope you can get it where you are. Like the salesman told me selling a part for a PP watch where it's not supposed to be is forbidden… I'm surprised that your AD was ok to sell you one, in theory they are not allowed to...

Anyways PM me if you need help on this...

about 4000$ for the deployment clasp it's more or less what I would've expected to be honest, have you thought about a SS Nautilus deployment? Ok there's written "Nautilus" on it but should be around 1000$ IMO...

By the way it looks very cool on leather but I would put a rubber band or a simple black leather one, on my 5726 I wear with just the composite strap not the alligator one, for me "sports" watches and alligator straps kind of break the sporty aspect, well at least it does for me. Tell us if you find something nice as I am also looking for a good SS tang buckle for my second composite strap, don't intend to put 830 euros for a tang in WG which isn't great, their tang buckles don't go very well with Nautiluses IMO...
