SS alternative
I am mostly set in my Rolex collection and came across an alternative that I am really enjoying. I have had a long history with Panerai am very please with picking up a LNIB full set 390. Super simple. While I have had a few issues with Panerai it is a very good value and no supply funny business. Thx for looking.

Panerai produces from lovely timepieces.
Good that your looking at other brands so are many. Many many other brands that are better than Rolex for similar prices or lower. |

I did the same earlier in December. I picked up a PAM333. The only Rolex that I want is BLNR and I will wait till it is available at MSRP.

I've always liked Panerais but for some reason never did pull the trigger on one.
3 years back, I was close to picking up the PAM321 but didn't go through with it. Then more recently, as I gravitated toward smaller watches I became interested in the PAM048, but just couldn't find a new model for sale. |

Thx for the responses. I like the blend of Rolex and Panerai in my collection. In the last year
I have become irritated by the Rolex supply situation, like many here this seems so artificial. Panerai are a good value and for me still so unique. My other favorite now is a 233 which really is a cool watch. |

I have got Panerai too plus few other brands. Nothing wrong having diversified collection. Great watch!

Thx, yes it is a nice watch at many thousands less than a basic Rolex SS sport model. Also one of a very limited Panerai base models ever to have been produced.

Panerai are gorgeous pieces of art! Unfortunately I traveled to Florence prior to getting bit by the watch bug or else I would have been compelled to pick one up whilst there.
There will be a PAM in my collection someday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

A lot of irony here. I am a huge Panerai fan as well, and own a few. Several years ago we would have laughed at this post, because it was the exact opposite. People were growing annoyed with Panerai because all of the popular references were near impossible to get and were selling for waaay over msrp on secondary market. At that same time, you could buy watches like the Sub lv at a discount and Rolex AD showcases were fully stocked.
All these newbies think that Rolex is money in the bank and will keep going up and up...have a look at Panerai. I am bookmarking this one...classic! Great watch by the way

My PAM333 has become my daily watch to wear. It has titanium case, so it is light on the wrist. I also like leather/canvas straps, and the Panerai watches works well for me. I have switched straps 3 times in the last 3 weeks.
The big challenge for me is that I want 40mm watch with lug-to-lug size less than 50mm. That just limits my options in the Panerai lineup. |
