CK2998 Bracelet
Went to the NYC Omega boutique today to inquire about a 1565/976 bracelet (I've seen others do this and I think it looks awesome). Things quickly became awkward from there.
I was at first told, this was a "customization" and they could sell me the bracelet (assuming I present a watch with proper records), but will not install it. The omega salesperson telling me this seemed a bit shocked that I would even make the request to begin with. This was all stated as she was on the computer, presumably looking up the order ref. After agreeing to their stipulation, that I would buy the bracelet and simply have it installed somewhere else, she looked on her computer and "just noticed" that the 1565/976 bracelet was actually unavailable to purchase. Making it seem as though it was discontinued. Then she awkwardly paused as I raised an eyebrow and waited for me to leave. So, questions.... 1) Have any of you heard of the 1565/976 being discontinued? 2) Does this salesperson just have a problem with my face (pic in avatar for reference)?

I think this topic has been discussed in the past within this thread.

Try phoning one of the more adept Authorized Dealers. Topper's in California has been very helpful to me any time I have phoned and ordered straps, buckles, etc.
As for question #2, it does sound like a salesperson having a crappy day and taking it out on you. People there are usually pretty helpful, so maybe she was dealing with some personal difficulty and should have taken a break instead of taking your question. |

Tried a local AD I trust. They also confirmed that the old style 1565/976 bracelet was discontinued by Omega.
I was told that the 020STZ006704 was the replacement. Is anyone familiar with this bracelet? Is it definitely compatible with the CK2998?

Just in case anyone is interested, the 020STZ006704 bracelet works perfectly for the CK2998 case.
