My favorite watch review channel by far.
I was seriously ready to get a new Submariner until this review and subsequent comparison to the Sub. Leaning towards the SMP now however I need to try on first as I am not sure how it will fit on my 6.5" wrist. I will be trading in my Tudor GMT for either as it wears just a bit larger than what I would prefer. The SMP may not be enough of size difference to warrant the change which would put me back with the Sub at double the cost of the SMP... |

I have both the Tudor GMT and the SMP 300M
the Omega wears much smaller than the Tudor GMT I really don't think it wears a lot bigger than a sub especially the super case models - I had a sub C for 6 years and I do not miss it at all - delighted with the Omega and good luck getting a sub c at MSRP - the real world price difference is more like 3 times isn't it? no way I am selling my Tudor GMT either - love that watch as much as my new SMP

Trading in my Tudor GMT to DavidSW today and looking to get the black SMP. I was able to try on the grey dial version at a local AD and liked how it fit.

Awesome review and comparison. I am about to pull the trigger on the new 300m, but I am having trouble deciding whether to go for the blue or the black. I'm leaning towards the blue at the moment.

Tough one man, I think both colours are so good and the blue is tame enough to not be out of place in formal if you need it to.

Just ordered the Omega SMP, black on bracelet, from DavidSW for a good price.
I kept asking myself if the Rolex Sub was worth the additional $4,500 and I could not say that it was. I will probably still own one one day as it is a watch I have always loved however that will have to wait. |
