Phishing attempt from "eduardor"
I received identical "i'll take the ___ watch" PMs from this user for 2 watches (PMs were copy and pasted except for watch in question). Both requested to take the transaction to the private email arlenejcoloma@gmail.com
I replied to the first w/ instructions for payment via paypal. After getting the second PM and realizing something was up, i changed my paypal PW just to be safe. Today i received another note requesting to buy the watch. Included was a link to the Rolex Forums to view the watch in question. The link provided looked legit but was asking me to sign in to view the watch he was interested in. Sensing something was off, the address was a bit weird and the red time/date at the top of the page was from July 2016. Def. a faked sign in page. A few minutes later I got a second email about the other watch he inquired about. So watch-out and admins may want to take a look into his forum use. |

i bet some users fell for this since i received a suspicious reply to a WTB ad which directed me to check references with fairly well established members of this forum. Sure enough, a similar attempt was made on another WTB ad posted by a different member with the same MO and same references.

Once you understand the scam you won t fall for it again, links to sign in pages alway mean they are trying to get you information... When in doubt, just go to your sign in page , not thru the link they provide, and you ll be fine. Always carefully check the URL when in doubt too. " Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice , shame on me." LOL
