To whom may concern- Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional Chronograph 42mm

Hello everyone! it’s about that time of the year to purchase a fun watch to start the year! I was thinking of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, but i am not too sure whether its also one of those watches that are hard to get. Ideally I am looking to pay MSRP.

If anyone knows about how Omega works, please let me know your suggestion and experience. This will be my first Omega timepiece. Thank you for your time!

They are super easy to get

Every omega boutique should have a steel bracelet and leather in stock

I buy a lot from omega and my last speedy pro on leather with heselite I got from an omega store with a 25% discount.

If you have not bought from them before them 10-14% is probably achievable — but someone from your region maybe able to advise typical local / regional discount policies and stock levels

Ps seriously consider the variation I mentioned above. It’s in my opinion the best option for a modern speedy pro

Also mods should probably move this to the omega sub forum

the Speedy is probably one of the most popular Omegas- wont be too hard to find. Most ADs will offer a bit off MSRP, but boutiques wont

if you’re not set on going to an AD, matt (mdgrwl on WUS/TRF) usually has a couple well below msrp

That’s a great watch to get! And as mentioned above, discounts are absolutely possible.. try the Omega side of TRF and you’ll get plenty of info there

I've owned several Omegas and sold all of them. My favorite by far was the Planet Ocean 42mm in titanium. Excellent watch. The Omega I was most underwhelmed with was Speedmaster Pro. I sold it within two months.

Me too. I understand the appeal of the transparent case-back, but I prefer the standard Speedmaster Pro. The unique luster of the plastic crystal and retaining the original watch's Faraday Cage to resist magnetic fields are both more important to me, though. Now, if it were Caliber 321 on stage under that transparent case-back...

it is more appealing for the clear case-back, since i never owned a watch with it. As rolex will never haha
