SKX007 reserve dying overnight
Good evening folks,
I purchased a SKX007 about eight months ago. I love the watch. My father bought an older model in Hong Kong back in the 80s while he was in port with the navy. I grew up admiring that watch. Well I was on deployment in the Philippines and I picked up a 007 to match his. While on deployment I would daily the watch but take it off before bed and place it on the table. The next morning I would go to put it on and it would have stopped sometime throughout the night. This seems odd because the reserve should carry it throughout the night. What could the problem be? Surely wearing it for 16 hours would be enough to “charge” it up? Right? Any feedback will be welcomed. Thanks y’all! |

It takes days to wind this watch up to build up enough reserve. So wear it 24/7 and see how it does after about 4 days.

Does the 007 not have manual winding? Even the watches I wear frequently I still wind up each night.

Get a cheap watch winder off ebay or amazon and place it there for the night to help wind up that reserve power.

It depends on your lifestyle to move daily enough to build reserve. If your lifestyle is not active enough, I would reccomend asking a watchsmith to replace the 7S26 movement for a NH36 that is also hand-wind and hacking. Such movement cost no more than 38 USD.
