SOTC - am I done?

Curious what people would do here assuming you can only add if you subtract. Personally, I think I’m least fond of the Breitling Superocean Chrono (great watch, just does not get any wrist time), Tudor Black Bay (although would posit this is the Black Bay to have given the limited nature unless you prefer the BB58, rivets and all), and Speedmaster Sapphire Sandwich (I prefer the Navitimer over it).

The Aquanaut was the latest addition and seems to even double as a dress watch.

Nonetheless, I think I could be happy with this set but are we ever?

SOTC - am I done?

Easy for me, I’d keep four of the five in the bottom row

BLNR, PP, BLRO and the Speedy (substitute for the Navitimer since you said you like that more)

Appreciated! I’m at least done for a while… until the AD calls with something great, then I’ll be tempted but not many left on my list.

I'd probably move that entire top row and add another 20k towards a PM stunner, something YG or RG, full bracelet.

This would be easy for me....I think it's time to consolidate and upgrade to a PM. I would sell:

1. Breitling
2. Tudor
3. IWC
4. Omega
5. Speedy

And pick up a DD.

SOTC - am I done?

I’d consider myself done with the BLNR, Aquanaut, and the Speedmaster. Maybe the Seamaster too as a beater watch.

id sell everything except the Pepsi.

get a Sub, get a nice dress watch - likely a Patek Calatrava... then have fun with another piece.

just me though.

Haha. I guess you’re not much of a sport watch and chrono guy or you’re a less is more person.

Would be pretty easy for me, I'd keep bottom row and move top row. If I was forced to add something, I'd move top row + speedy for a white 116500 and call it a day.

I’d keep the PP, your fave GMT and your fave chrono.

Sell the rest, buy a sub and look to get something in PM.

These what do you think of my collection threads are tough. I personally would keep the Batman, Pepsi, PP and IWC. I might keep either the Tudor or Speedy as a beater and vacation watch. I would try and secure an oyster bracelet for one of the two GMT’s. I would buy a dress watch with some or all of the funds generated from selling the other watches-a Cartier, reverso, calatrava or even Rolex moonphase.

Great collection, all tasteful choices. I wouldn’t swap out the Breitlings, Omegas or IWC, as I imagine they feel so refreshingly different from everything when rotating. Of course there are lots of other great watches but we don’t need to have everything or even every base covered. This looks cool and fun. My favourites here are the Yacht-Master and the first-gen Black Bay, but they’re all great.

That said, if something had to go, I’d probably choose one of the GMT-Masters, and maybe the Super Ocean Chrono if it really is never worn. To add a couple of different pieces from other brands. Perhaps a vintage Longines chronograph and an old gold tank.

I’ve been trying for a ss Daytona but ended up getting allocated the aqua. I’m lucky to have gotten the Patek but it still means I’m on the list for a Daytona. I don’t see that happening any time soon given this allocation.

Nice collection. I’d just get rid of what doesn’t sing to you anymore and consolidate to 1-2 pieces after that. A supreme end game could be Blro, 5167, steel Daytona, day date.

And ince you get your final set, get a new watch box. It’s always too tempting to buy more when you see empty spaces in it lol.

Keep Patek, one of the two GMTs and Speedmaster.
Trade the other GMT for a Sub.
Sell the rest to fund DD40 or AP.
This is what I would do.

Well done on the allocation of the Patek!

If those were my watches I would only keep the two Rolex GMT's and the Black Bay!

Nice collection

I can see some consolidation opportunities and maybe things to add. Collecting is such a personal choice so there’s no play book except your own.

Before I’d do anything, I’d focus on why you bought each piece to begin with

Then look at whether you still wear it and want to own it

You could use a WG Daytona on an Oysterflex.
