GMT IIc 116710LN

Has Rolex discontinued this model, the black bezel GMT IIc?
If so, when?

I know it's been discontinued but I'm not 100% sure exactly when this happened. That's a bit strange for me as I'm usually on top of this sort of thing. Hopefully someone can confirm that shortly, as I'm curious as well.

The last of them seemed to make there way to ADs in the summer of 2019.

The most versatile of the Ceramic GMTs IMO.

I love mine. Feels like it should be standard issue. People mix it up with the Sub all the time. It’s the perfect watch. I’m sure we’ll see the LN at some point soon with an upgraded caliber. They just need to put some time between the models. In the meantime there still the EXP II in black or white, a bit more sporty I suppose...

Great every day watch. Prices are steadily going up.

if by steadily you mean barely, you're correct.

I juts tried one on today at a local pre owned seller... and would have bought it if it weren't terribly over priced.

Future classic, and agree on the versatility from a looks standpoint.

Waiting on a BLRO, own a BLNR, but I still like the LN a lot.

I got mine around 8/19 from my AD. Might have been one of the last.

I received mine the week after it got discontinued
It’s been a safe queen for me as I have worn the the Pepsi, Batman and the 16710 more. It will come out of the safe at the right time though! It’s a keeper for sure!

It was odd to me last year when they dropped it, what with the versatility of the black dial, but my thought was a move to bi-colored 24 hour bezel was the play. It could have also been as simple as phasing it out to replace it with the CHNR and limit GMT's to 3, who knows?

Will be interesting to see if there are GMT plans for later this year or '21. A lot of speculation for sure.

I predict a significant drop of interest in the GMT line over the next few years. It's had a huge surge in popularity since the BLNR came out. It will be interesting to see what the next hyped reference will be.

50th anniversary Explorer 2 and the discontinued 216570 that will go along with it.

It’s a GMT and a Milgauss all in one package on a brushed bracket.

I agree... Brushed oyster is really what most want I think for their sports references, white dial is and orange hand with fixed bezel... I'm coming around to it much more than I used to.

Overrated now it’s gone. Hardly a top seller when available and suddenly it’s discontinued goes nuts. Nice but not a great.

I tend to agree. Hype for anything can only last so long and I think most the Rolex hyped references, including the GMT will see a drop of interest.

I think the next hyped reference will in fact probably be the DJ, as unlikely as that sounds, unless Rolex come out with something totally unexpected in a new reference release.

The black GMT2 LN may not have been as hyped as the others but it was very popular.

Just like the Hulk is hyped but in reality most people prefer the standard black Sub.

It’s amazing how a half bezel color make all the difference!!! The difference between the BLNR and the LN is a half blue bezel insert....... well and a GMT hand color

For a true watch enthusiast who appreciates a movement, complication, history..... etc. the difference is negligible! But for those who follow hypes, it makes all the difference!!
