What precious metal everyday wear Daytona.

What would you consider as the "best" daily wear precious metal Daytona. I am looking for a full Bracelet and not an Oyster-flex.

What precious metal and dial combination? I am looking for opinions and recommendations.

I am considering the 116509 blue dial Daytona, but I was curious about other suggestions.

Thanks

If the 116509 blue dial Daytona is the one you want to wear then other opinions does not matter wear the watch you want to not opinions. But with all gold watches being a softer metal its possible they will show everyday wearing scratches more than say SS.

I think I have a hangup about dropping 35k on a White Gold watch since I honestly cannot tell the difference between WG and Stainless steel. Now that might be a good thing for an everyday wear watch. I just want to get some input on other opinions. I will never pay grey prices for Stainless Steel even though I can afford it. I have a huge issue about just throwing money away.

Agree, especially for a purchase this big, make sure you really get the metal color/dial combo you like most.
As far as scratches and stuff, in my experience my Everose Daytona scratches exactly as easily as my SS one.

I have been looking at the Everrose Daytona as well. I think yellow gold might be too loud at my workplace.

Definitely bias in my opinion. Blue dial has many personalities in different light

As for PM, I have the above blue dial WG and the platona...platona all day long is the winner. It's perfection.

I do love the blue WG in pics, but I went with RG and black panda dial. The RG worked much better than YG on my skin (and it's a bigger watch on bracelet than the YG or SS). Still glad I went with this one.

If money were no object then I'd also be all over a Platona!

Don't overthink it. You got it right the first time.

I’d only go for the PT if I were wearing it daily. The ceramic bezel will obviously hold up better for daily wear, and when it’s time for service/polish, you don’t lose as much metal vs polishing a WG, YG, etc....
If PT isn’t an option, I wouldn’t wear a PM Daytona as a daily, the bezel scratches/marks would drive me crazy.

I agree and the yellow gold sort of has a slight tint change in various light.

I truly like the Platona for sure. Because of the price I had sort of counted it out. I can wait another year and get a Platona. I have an amazing rolex rotation already this would just add to my daily wear rotation for work.

Totally understand this thinking. What one needs to do is pivot from seeing them as scratches and take the perspective that they’re character marks . The Platona is an amazing piece no doubt.

Platona all day long. The ceramic Bezel is what makes the watch

Agree, this is the one I have and I went rose because it matches my skin tone much better. If you’re going colored gold, that’s very important imo

People say that there is a difference in hue between stainless steel and white gold. That is true, but I doubt anyone could tell the difference without a side-by-side comparison.

When compared side-by-side, 904L looks a bit nicer than white gold.

My absolute favorite version of the Daytona is the 116509, black face, red accents. It’s just a bit more special, only the absolute nerds will get it as the difference to the regular steel version in so slim. And being WG it just flies under the radar (for a professional Rolex). For the “in your face department” I always love a YG Panda, any year really. I also think this works very well for any every gender...

WG Blue. But if you can get to the Platona, that would be my choice (assuming you like it of course.)
