Looking to compare Pam 111 to SD43 (size)

As the title says, I am looking to see how a 111 (or similar Luminor) compares to a SD43 sizewise. If anyone has both, would you post pics of them side by side to compare face as well as width (depth).

I understand these watches don't compare in terms of spec.s or purpose; I am not trying to start a debate of what is better etc. I currently wear my Pam 111 more than any of my other watches and am interested in the SD43 but concerned about how tall it will sit (been trying to see one in person, which is proving very difficult). I bought a Deep Sea and quickly realized it's too top heavy for me.

I own a SD43 and Radiomir 690, (I know that’s not the specific reference you asked to compare). I also owned Dblue.

Height wise the SD43 is 15mm or thereabouts while the Pam690 measures about 16mm tall (I’d say 1/3-1/2 of that height is the domed crystal). I don’t know if the crystal sits as high on the 111 but it doesn’t look it.

Nevertheless, I’d say in my case they both wear about the same in terms of height with the edge going to the Panerai as the dome seems to slip under cuffs and coat sleeves easier if that make sense.

I’d also say the caseback shape of the SD43 is not as comfortable as the flat Panerai The Pam is also lighter weight on the wrist even though it’s a much larger wearing watch.

I hope that was somewhat helpful and that someone can chime in who owns both that you asked about.

The shorter lugs, flat case back and leather straps help make the 111 wear well.

The SD50 will be heavier and float more on your wrist due to the bubble case back. That being said, it’s an amazing watch, and if you are fine with a 111, I would think you can get used to the SD (unless the back is uncomfortable for you).

Dont currently have both but have owned both multiple times.

They wear similarly. Thickness of both is around 15mm. SD43 is 50mm lug to lug vs 111 at 53mm but end link to end link the SD43 is right at 53mm. If size across the wrist is a concern, the SD43 actually wears slightly smaller.

The SD43 does not feel top heavy like the Deep Sea.
