Chocolate Thunder! Both are awesome, but for me the Arabic numerals make it somewhat quirky and really appealing.

When or what date in 2011 was the early chocolate model made?

Thanks

New...black sub dials and the WG hour markers pop more than the dark Arabic numbers that sort of get lost on the equally dark dial.

The markers with the new dial pop more, absolutely true, but did you see the new dial in person ? I had it for a a couple of months and for me the lack of contrast between the black subdials and choc was so much less then Rolex stock photography makes you believe... found it a bit disappointing to be honest.

I prefer the old as I like the busy numbers.

New looks to uniform (and does pop) and look like the rest of the Daytona klan with the precise markers.

What month and year was the old version introduced?

I like the old sub dials better but prefer the index markers; looks less busy.

Yep, this comment is spot on. Photos and direct lighting make the dial better online than in person.

Arabic on Rubber B for me. Best of both worlds, but like the others said I am too biased as it is what I have.

Newer, which all came as OF, where as most old styles came on leather, but were the first ceracgrome bezel Daytona’s.

I mean it looked ok to my eye but of course, to each their own. I think the black subdials contrasted enough. With a chocolate dial, you'd really have to basically go 'panda-style' and have light colored dials to make it pop against a choc dial.

love the arabic numerals, but black sub dials seals the deal for me.

I think there’s a busy look to the Arabic version that makes it different.

Stick a Rubber B strap on it and it looks perfect.

Kevin hart owns the Arabic version and mentions that as one of his favorite watches.

Both look nice though.

Too bright indices of the new vs. "lost" sub-dial of the old being the negatives of each for me. That's it to drive the decision. So then I like both equally! :)

But not sure about the rose gold yet. I really like it, but I think it's a very specific watch/Rolex trend and may not stand the test of time. Went YG eon my Daytona as a result.

Enjoy!!!

I like both, but am partial to the Arabic Numerals dial.

I have Arabic Numerals on a White dial, and on the wrist the numerals do not look as large in real life as they do in pictures.

It’s supposed to be a Sports Watch, and the numerals make it look Sporty, to me.
